Security and Interference
Intelligence services in Sweden have repeatedly qualified China as a long-term and growing threat to Swedish national security. In the area of economic security, China is assessed as the main long-term threat.
At the Swedish National China Centre, we provide analysis, advice and knowledge resources to strengthen understanding of security and influence-related issues linked to China. This includes China–Russia relations, China’s role in the war in Ukraine, election and information influence, and China’s actions towards Taiwan.
We also collaborate with knowledge-producing organisations and relevant actors in Sweden and internationally. This includes cooperation through the data-driven China–Russia Dashboard and networks such as the European China Knowledge Network (E-CKN) and the CEE-Nordic Dialogue on China.
