Fragmented Europe: Dealing with China as a technology and innovation power
A report by the European Think-tank Network on China (ETNC).
China is a global leader in several scientific and technological fields with far-reaching implications for the global economy. The country has built a rapidly growing industrial base in areas such as electric vehicles, green technologies, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, and holds a strong position in several global markets.
At the Swedish National China Centre, we monitor and analyse China’s technological ambitions and advances in research and innovation. We also follow developments in international research cooperation and research security, and publish analyses on how China’s scientific and technological development affects Sweden and Europe.
We collaborate with expert and research networks and other knowledge-producing organisations in Sweden and internationally, including Mälardalen University, the European China Knowledge Network (E-CKN) and the European Think-tank Network on China (ETNC).
