The Swedish National China Centre welcomes Liisa Kauppila as Visiting Fellow
The Swedish National China Centre is pleased to welcome Liisa Kauppila as a Visiting Fellow until early November.
Liisa Kauppila is a Finnish China researcher and a futurist from the University of Turku (UTU). She works currently as a senior researcher in ForAC project, which studies foreign company acquisitions as threats to supply security in Nordic countries. In addition, she is currently finalising her doctoral dissertation at the Centre for East Asian Studies, UTU. She has (co-)authored several publications on China’s global and Arctic economic engagement, spatial implications of China’s rise, and experimental futures research methodology, and worked in various Finnish state institutions. She has also studied, worked and conducted field trips in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan over the past ten years.
